About David Gennard
Photographer. Filmmaker. Writer. Explorer of places and stories.
I'm a Liverpool-based photographer, filmmaker and author with a curiosity for the places we inhabit, the people we meet and the stories we leave behind.
My career has taken me from photographing actors on film and television sets to creating films and imagery for universities, international brands and organisations. Along the way, I've worked on productions including Talamasca: The Secret Order and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, and produced campaigns for clients including Radisson Hotel Group.
But my fascination with storytelling extends well beyond the camera.
I'm also an author of historical adventure fiction, drawn to the mysteries of the past, forgotten places and the extraordinary stories hidden in seemingly ordinary landscapes.
These days, you'll increasingly find me exploring ancient monuments, following old legends, photographing wildlife or heading somewhere simply because there's a story worth discovering.
My work brings together photography, filmmaking, writing, history and a love of adventure. Whether I'm producing a commissioned film, documenting a place or investigating a story of my own, I'm interested in creating work that makes people curious about the world around them.
I'm available for photography, filmmaking and creative storytelling commissions across the UK and internationally.
My work spans travel and tourism, places and heritage, documentary, wildlife, commercial photography and film and television unit stills.
If you've got a place to explore, a story to tell or a project worth bringing to life, I'd love to hear about it.
